Bid from the International Surgical Wound Complications Advisory Panel

01 March 2022

Abstract

The International Surgical Wound Complications Advisory Panel sets out its bid for the WUWHS 2026 Congress to be held in Perth, Western Australia.

To celebrate 25 years of the WUWHS, it seemed fitting to nominate Perth, Western Australia as the perfect location to host the WUWHS 2026 Congress. The International Surgical Wound Complications Advisory Panel (ISWCAP) Perth 2026 Congress theme, ‘WUWHS Silver Jubilee, New Horizons – 25 Years and Beyond’ is the ultimate congress to acknowledge the advances, past and present, of those with a passion for wound care.

It all began in the summer of 2000 in Australia with a gathering of like-minded people with a passion for wound care. After 25 years, WUWHS has grown to be the pre-eminent global body connecting peak organisations and societies, clinicians, scientists, nurses and doctors from around the world, to share the latest advances in clinical practice and research in the field of wound care. The wound healing ‘Olympics’ has arrived at a significant milestone of WUWHS, with 2025 its Silver Jubilee year. Join fellow wound healing Olympians and celebrate this achievement in 2026, where it all began—in Australia!
