Bid from the Malaysian Society of Wound Care Professionals

01 March 2022

Abstract

The Malaysian Society of Wound Care Professionals sets out its bid for the WUWHS 2026 Congress to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Salutations to my dearest wound family. I hail from the picturesque Malaysia, a multiracial and peaceful nation in South East Asia. The Malaysian Society of Wound Care Professionals (MSWCP) is a society which has stood the test of time, and is a trusted and professional society in Asia.

The MSWCP is spearheading Malaysia and Asia's bid for the WUWHS 2026 Congress. The city of Kuala Lumpur will host the conference if Malaysia is chosen by my esteemed colleagues. Our theme for the silver jubilee is ‘Global paradigm shift: wound management specialty and recognition’. It is important that the field of wound care is recognised, that all your great work and efforts are applauded, and that you receive due recognition and respect. The wound care speciality is our priority. It is not about hosting a conference, but more about giving credence to the formation of the specialty and recognition by all parties globally. We encourage collaboration and work with everyone. There is no bias. Health professionals must receive gratitude, respect and love from their peers, patients and the relevant organisations.
